Curriculum framing questions form the framework that guides the focus of the unit. These questions are used before, during and after the the lesson. The essential question is also the focal point in unit/lesson planning. The esential question is posted and used to introduce the lesson and focus the students on what they are to learn. A unit question focuses the days lesson and what the purpose of that lesson is. Identifying for the student what information they need to pay attention to, guiding the learning. Unit/content questions can be created by the student or the teacher for the learning task. Assessment can be a return to the essential question to see how the days lesson/concept helps to answer the essential question.
